Version 2 changes: A little extra low end voicing with more saturation-dirt to all three positions.

The dynamic range and sonic muscle of the Triptych circuit are what make it a monarch among overdrives, distortions, and variations of fuzz pedals. Packing all of this into a single pedal is what places the Triptych a step above the rest. Producing rich harmonics and everything from throaty overdrive to fuzz-like distortion is only part of what it can do.

This pedal offers warm, creamy, clear notes with a natural, full-range power in all three positions, while still maintaining that tube-amp sound capable of navigating all genres of music—from the ’60s to the present day. It can also help tighten a distorted amp’s sag, making higher gain more manageable while maintaining low noise to gain levels.

All knobs are very active, meaning even small adjustments can affect your tone. The bass and treble controls go well beyond standard functionality. In short, the Triptych is like a spy-movie car compared to a stock version: the features may look the same, but the Bass & Treble knobs do far more.

It is an analog circuit capable of delivering the attributes of many different designs. Though its design is nothing like a RAT or a BB’er, it can achieve RAT-style tones in all three positions. Overall, the tone of this pedal sits somewhere between a RAT and a Bluesbreaker. Version 2 adds a touch of Dumble-style character into the mix.

(Pos-1) Boost to overdrive that goes a little past mild, will do a “little” modern too thick vintage tone that can also get compressed, depending on the settings.
(Pos-2) Boost to OD with a fuzz edge, maxed will get close to the Tone Bender MKII pro tone, and it covers so many tonal options in-between!
(Pos-3) Boost to distortion that now goes to almost medium gain and can still get a little fuzz like. It will get the psychedelic smooth gated spitty, sputtery fuzz like tone, just not as heavy as Version 1.
Position 3, one of the strong points of this pedal is stacking, when placed (1^st) in line.

Note: “If” you do not like fuzz, run it at 18v, it then becomes a variation of OD & distortion depending on the switch position.
