Vintage Green Art Series

The Vintage Green is our tribute to two incredible circuit designs: The TS808 and the Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive. While the circuit design of the Vintage Green deviates from these designs, they still achieve some of the same tonal attributes; The Vintage Green offers just a little more in tone shaping – voicing options.

Vintage Green switch positions:
(Pos-1) Overdrive is smooth, rich & clear. With a wide tonal spectrum that goes a bit past mild.
(Pos-2) Smooth, rich & big. Turn up the drive and Plexi knobs, a very thick saturated overdrive begins to enter and the “mid hump” withdraws a bit. Maxed goes just a little past med.
(Pos-3) Smooth, rich & thick. With just a “little” more punch than Pos-1 & 2, while maintaining its big, full, clear tone. Maxed goes to med.

The Vintage Green in some settings can get very close to the original TS-808 in (1st position) & the Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive in (all 3 positions), dependent on the Plexi knob settings.
The Plexi knob is a slight HPF (pre-distortion w/extras) – the Tone knob is HPF/LPF (post-distortion).
The Plexi knob as it goes past noon, the more you add the more the mid-hump smooths out a “little” in all positions.
The Plexi knob: The sound response during the design stage, the first time I turned the knob up, it was like a memory of turning a Plexi going from (.5) to 6 on the volume, referencing to the tone not volume. This is the reason for the knob identification Plexi, as bloom, blossom and outgrowth just did not sound right. The effect of the Plexi knob is a description of the feel of what the Plexi knob does in the circuit. The design of the pedal is not to sound like a Plexi type amp.
